Shantel R. Isaac, M.S. OTR/L received her Bachelor's of Science in Health Science with a concentration in Disabilities Studies from Stony Brook University. During her undergraduate career, Shantel engaged in an internship at a sensory integration clinic where she first learned how sensory intervention therapy plays a significant role in a child’s social, emotional, physical and cognitive development. Shantel obtained her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from New York University.

Shantel prides herself on being a lifelong learner. She is energized by research and continuing education courses that further strengthens her skill set and enables her to adopt new therapeutic techniques into practice. Shantel is an advocate for childhood development and utilizing sensory processing interventions. Shantel was able to see the positive effects that ice activities have with children with high arousal levels. Furthermore, Shantel is a certified Integrated Listening Systems practitioner. Shantel has seen the effects of using music and movement to increase a child’s attention, emotional regulation and motor development. Shantel has also worked at McCarton Bronx Center for three years delivering Early Intervention services in person and via teletherapy. During her clinical career at McCarton Bronx Center, she obtained certifications via Talk Tool specializing in a sensory motor approach for pediatric feeding.
Alongside providing services with LWT, Shantel currently works at Clarke Hearing and Speech delivering services for the preschool population. She firmly believes that each child’s individual differences can serve as their greatest strengths.
