Vicky Tsakas, M.S., CCC-SLP, is a New York State licensed Speech-Language Pathologist and holds her certificate as a Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD). Vicky received her Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics with a minor in Speech and Hearing Sciences from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and earned a Master of Science degree in Communicative Sciences and Disorders from New York University.
Vicky has experience with children from infancy through high school within the areas of pediatric feeding/swallowing, articulation/phonological disorders, pragmatic/social language disorders, and expressive and receptive language disorders. Vicky has received training in Dynamic Temporal and Tactile Cueing (DTTC), The Kaufman K-SLP Methods and Behavioral Strategies to Build Vocal Communication and has experience with a variety of programs used to develop a range of speech and language areas, including Sequential Oral Sensory Feeding Approach, The Orton and Gillingham Approach, The Social Thinking Curriculum, and The Kaufman Speech and Language Protocol.
Vicky has been a part of the LWT team in NYC since 2022 and currently provides private speech/language therapy sessions (virtually and in-person).
