Class Permissions

Cancellation Policy: Classes can be canceled or rescheduled with 48+ hours notice via the My Bookings page. When canceled in a timely manner/with proper advance notice, you will receive class credit to use within the current semester (redeemable by emailing info@lookwhostalkingnyc.com), however only one (1) make-up credit is permitted per semester. Please note that a "no show" or last minute cancellation to a class will not entitle you to a refund nor entitle you to any make-up credits to reschedule for another class. Unused classes may not be transferred to other semesters. If you are unable to use all class credits within the semester window you may request a virtual on-demand class. Virtual classes can be requested as a make up at any time throughout the semester.

Illness Protocol: If your child is running a fever, has an infection, or is thought to have a contagious illness, they are not permitted in class. Children must be fever free for 24 hours before returning to class. Please contact LWT as soon as possible for make-up options. You will be eligible for up to 2 make-up classes per semester, any additional make-ups will be provided as a virtual on demand class. Just a reminder, "no shows" will not be eligible for make ups.

Semester Registration: Registration fees are non-refundable once the semester has begun. You may however opt to receive virtual credits in exchange for any remaining credits within your semester. Additionally, if you can no longer commit to the semester, it is your responsibility to gift or sell your remaining credits to another family.

Refunds: Please refer to Semester Registration regarding eligibility for refunds. All refunds will have a 2.8% processing fee that is non-refundable.

Weather Protocol: If it is 50-90 degrees AND the rain chance is under 30%, class is on. Outdoor classes can be  inconsistent and Look Who’s Talking  will  do its best to keep class on if the weather allows it. If class is NOT canceled and you do not wish to join due to weather, you may withdraw from that class and join a different class within the same week (pending availability) if communicated to Look Who’s Talking 24 hours prior to the class.  Any day-of cancellations will unfortunately not be able to be credited or refunded. The exact location for NYC classes will be sent via text 30 minutes before class begins (via text). Look Who’s Talking does not supply any personal items that you or your baby may need to attend the outdoor  class so be sure to bring a waterproof mat or towel (grass could be wet) and anything you may need for your baby or yourself (sunscreen, hat, food, drink, etc.) to enhance your participation in the class.

Covid Protocol:  It is up to each parent or guardian to ascertain whether the health of the child participating in the class is suitable for such participation.  You agree to wear a mask correctly (above the nose) for the entire duration of indoor classes. Masks will not be required for outdoor classes. There will be open windows and/or air purifiers for indoor classes to maintain air circulation. Class time may be a few minutes shorter to leave time for cleaning in between and to stagger exits.

Additional Attendees Policies: Only one adult can attend indoor classes per child. No additional adults or children can attend classes with any one child.  (1 adult per registered child).

Please note: this policy DOES apply to siblings. While we encourage older siblings to participate in learning activities at home, siblings are not allowed to join in on classes as it can be distracting and disruptive for the younger children. If you plan to bring a second child within the class's age range, you need to sign them up for a given class before attending.

Suburb Classes: Look Who’s Talking arranges for the conduct of classes at the residences of some of its clients whose children are enrolled for classes. You are expected to bring anything you may need for yourself and your child so there is no need to enter the host's house. We do not expect the host to provide any food/drinks or access to their bathroom. The host of classes is providing their residence gratuitously and you acknowledge that any such host will not be held liable for any injury to persons or damage to property that may occur while on their property to attend any such class.

Live Virtual Classes: A link will be sent out on Sunday night with the ZOOM link and list of materials to gather for class.

Disclaimer: Look Who’s Talking classes are not a substitute for speech/language therapy. If you have any concerns about your child's development, please reach out to your pediatrician, a LWT speech-language pathologist or any developmental specialist.
